Next Intern Class starts the week of January 22nd

Premier Fitness, a premier personal training studio in South Salem, New York, is home to many youth and adults, athletes and non-athletes alike, looking to take their fitness and sports performance to the next level. Our internship program hires the areas most passionate and committed individuals interested in gaining the knowledge and experience to create GREATNESS in themselves and in others.

The Premier Fitness internship program is very robust and exposes you to many areas in the fitness profession. Below are some of the highlights that you will experience during your internship:

Over the course of our 10 week internship program, Premier interns will get a total of 100+ hours of instruction with the Premier Fitness personal training and sports performance curriculum, in addition to administrative and marketing strategies that includes: 

  • Sports Performance Academy (Middle School and High School) 

  • Team Training (up to 20 people)

  • Small Group Training (2-4 people)

  • Private Training

  • Introduction to the Functional Movement Screen

  • Basic understanding of the Precision Nutrition coaching philosophies

  • Basic understating of olympic lifts

  • Mastery of the 7 Pillars of Human Movement in Strength Training

  • Overall understanding of a basic dynamic warm-up, corrective exercise, and self-myofascial work

  • Proper understanding of energy system development and metabolic conditioning

  • Proper guidance towards attaining the right certifications and continuing education components

  • A 10-week course that includes reading, writing, and video reviews

  • Weekly hands-on class setting learning 

  • And so much more!

The Premier Fitness internship will require a minimum of 2 shifts/10 hours a week, including a mandatory hour-long weekly meeting.

This elite-level internship is for serious individuals looking to enter the field of sports performance and personal training. Under the direct supervision and guidance of owner and fitness director, Ian Nimblett, you will have the opportunity to observe and coach a very diverse group of people. Ian has over 10 years of training and coaching experience and has mentored many individuals through their fitness coach careers. You will leave this internship with the knowledge and ability to immediately begin training and coaching at a high level.

Our 10 week Intern Programs start in late September, late January and late May, but we are always accepting resumes and inquiries on a first-come, first-serve basis.
